Was just released and it shot up to #1 on the NYTimes Best Sellers list. It is a collection of the essays he and his staff put together each week to explore and opine about various issues in society and politics. They are always funny and provocative. He's collected these essays and put them in a book. I look forward to reading it, or listening to it as the case may be.

Bill has two great shows out now, "Real Time with Bill Maher" and the YouTube podcast "Club Random" ...

Ruthless Reviews was also positive, saying, "Maher's show is as good as ever, which means that the sacred and the profane continue to be discussed with intelligence, humor, and the occasional silliness" and that it "works so well because he selects provocative guests and I can't remember the panel ever having a dull [can't find the rest of this review]

What I find really remarkable about Bill Maher is his intelligence, morality, and courage. The guy sticks to his guns and will stand up to anyone with facts and humor - a great combination.

He has placed himself in a position between Left and Right, as a kind of unique radical moderate where he criticized both the Left and the Right on their failures and mistakes, and thereby retains his objectivity and audience.

If you follow him over time he really does tend to call the shots out accurately. I'm not sure if it is true, but he claims a recent poll had him as the most trusted TV pundit in the country.

For a long time I did not like him very much. But the more that I listen to him, the more I appreciate his intellectual honesty.

He is not afraid to call out anyone, liberal or conservative, on their B.S.

Yeah, I feel the same. When I listen to him on his Club Random podcast he seems so shallow and emotionally shallow, but his show is really good, and you have to be pretty damn smart and confident to spill your opinions like he does year after year for like 20+ years now.
