OK, I just watched a clip of Poker Face and her voice is raspier than usual. I think she's making it raspier for the character she's playing.
It looks like a good show. If it ever comes on Amazon or Netflix I'll watch it.
I don't see why it would.
When the show is over, just get a free trial of Peacock and watch it.
Besides, it's only $30 a year anyway.
I like it.
And I like her overall demeanor on Poker Face. A fun show.
I do not know why.
But I know it is not normal.
I think it's some sort of vocal chords damage she got hormonally growing up.
I knew a girl when we were 11 who had a totally raspy voice and I think that was her reason.
She gargled cigarette water and razor blades.

Her voice is like that because of her chain smoking. Any woman who has a husky and deep voice you will most probanly find that they are heavy smokers. Her lungs must be as black as soot.
I thought she was channeling 'Columbo' on Poker Face, but seeing her on Russian Dolls - same thing. Her cadence is annoying.
