What a great actress

It must be somewhat difficult for a 6 foot tall woman to make strides in a career where looks are everything but, when I checked out "MOM" because, I believe that Anna Faris is soooo cute, I discovered that Ms. Janney has incredible comedic chops. She has made a habit of cracking me up every week with her portrayal of the, sadly, damaged human being that is Bonnie. The scene where she storms out of a doctor's office, after being told that she was menopausal was hilarious. There are so many levels of Bonnie for the writers to explore (mother, grandmother, ex-mother in law, alcoholic, feisty, floozie, etc.) that I predict, at least, one Emmy for this lady before "MOM" runs its course.

I'd recommend "The Way Way Back" if you want to see her in rare form. She's one of the standout acts in an already amazing movie.

If you want to see how funny she is, watch her episode on Frasier. She was great, as always.

Also check her out n American Beauty, its a great darkhorse movie, with LOADS of great actng/actors/actresses that have always been under rated.

Under rated? Didn't that win the Academy Award? I loved that movie when it came out and it was popular as hell at the time (except maybe the bag in the wind scene).

mot the movie, the actors/actresses were underated, even today.

She did a lot with Bonnie's character. Honestly she took my breath away.
