A lot of people talking about his BET speech last night, demonstrating a 'them and us' scenario. MJ's music was global, his message global, regardless of colour, we ALL loved the message esp. 'Black and White' & 'Heal the World'

But a lot of people today talking about his "He was a Black Man, we just shared him with you" like he approves some sort of segregation and we should be grateful when there's a crossover??

Has he never heard of Dr. Martin Luther King? We play together, we sing together, we dance together... as children of one race.. the HUMAN race

I feel like Jaime said that to reinforce that Michael was black to all the people who claim he wanted to be white and that he hated being black.

Maybe, but the 'we just shared him with you part' really felt dividing than anything IMO.

Yeah thinking back on it it was not needed.He should have thought of a more eloquent way to express himself.

That's not at all what he meant. His comments were racist, plain and simple. Comments like that only pull us further apart. If a white guy said what he said, the media would crucify him. I'm sick and tired of these double standards. His comments really hurt his image. I'm not watching anymore of his movies.

I'm not watching anymore of his movies either. Except Booty Call. I will always watch Booty Call.

Look at the lengths he went to to try to appear white. It's terrible to think that the most recognizable black man on the planet was ashamed of being black.

Yeah, I get your point but don't you think a personal boycott of his movies based on the assumed intent of his comment is a bit harsh to the effect of killing an ant with a sledge hammer?

Love is the answer...but bring the extra clip in-case.
