His first solo album
If you like the best of the late 60s/early-70s California hippy music, then I'd recommend Crosby's highly underrated 1971 album "If I Could Only Remember My Name." The production is terrific, somewhat reminiscent of the Van Morrison's "Astral Weeks." This is just before most of the early 60s rock stars plummeted into complacency, mediocre work, and drug addiction.
