First of all, a sequel to this movie would probably suck. Not because of his poor acting, but because sequels to smash movies like this rarely 'happen' successfully. It would be ridiculous. His acting aside, it would be an embarassment, much like most sequels. But as I have learned it will probably happen, I can only hope for Ridley to be wise in proceeding.
Everyone else has also asked why you call him gay and you have already claimed your defense and apologized. I'm so tired of people using the word 'gay' to describe a movie, or even worse, someone's poor acting abilities. Frankly, I don't remember hating his acting specifically, and I'm pretty picky about that. However, that was probably because I was so overwhelmed with Phoenix's performance that I didn't care about anyone else performing poorly. He made up for a lot of things I did hate about the movie and, in my book, stole the show. Crowe is okay, thought he was better in Proof of Life. He's a brute and was very good at it, but I didn't find some of the emotional protrayal to be completely believeable. I don't know what it was. Anyway, back to the kid... he wasn't a main part of the storyline so I must not have really paid attention/cared about his acting. Sure, he was important to some extent, but as I said before, I was more concerned about primary characters than anything.
