i'm with you there, that's all me and my bf could talk about every time he was on the screen. it looked like magic marker.

reply

um he is not wearing make-up.

I know this was lot to anyone who lives elsewhere, but the reason why the Mayor of Gotham City looks like that is because he's supposed to be a dead-ringer for Antonio Villaraigosa, the Mayor of Los Angeles.

I saw the film in L.A. and people could not stop laughing every time he was onscreen because it was so damn obvious (and funny).

Only the people who said he isnt wearing make-up/extra eyeliner are correct. The rest of you just haven't seen him in anything else. there was a huge debate on Lost when he first appeared about his eyes and if the character wore eyeliner, etc. It's just Nestor. Watch any film/show that he is in, and its there. Those are his eyes. Get over it. And he wasn't supposed to be a dead ringer for the mayor of LA big guy. First, that doesn't make sense. And second, that still just makes no sense at all. That;s just stupid, shallow LA crowds thinking the whole world gives a flip about LA in the first place. Which we don't.

Maybe he should've applied some makeup to make him look like he doesn't have eyeliner on.

Haha agreed. Love it or hate it, movies are a superficial business. I remember him as a gay dude in some sitcom that I can't remember, and he looked the same way, so I believe that this is how he actually looks. But it is also unnecessarily distracting. Maybe tone it down a bit? Put flesh colored eyeliner on him to counteract the natural eyeliner he has? Or maybe cast someone else, because, hey, it's a small role, lets get some guy that doesn't look like he stepped out of a goth club to play the mayor of Gotham city. Whatever, still a good film.

If you believe that, there's something very seriously wrong with you.
