Turned down the role of 'Bruce Wayne' in Batman Begins

According to his imdb profile, David turned down the role of Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins. Whilst I like Christian Bale a lot, I reckon David would've nailed the role.

Maybe he worried it would be like Batman & Robin and damage his career. It's his loss really though...

Just read online that apparently DB did not turn down the role. He was one of Warner Bros' top choices for Wayne, along with Ashton Kutcher but was never actually offered the part. Nolan always wanted Bale and got his wish

Maybe with the recasting that they're going to do for the JLA movie he'll get a second chance at the part. I think he could be great in it.
