her career is over, she's lucky bc most actresses of her ilk only get 5 or 10 years of being a star.

and hasn't been a star since about 10 years ago. she hasn't had a starring role in a big movie in so long i guess the total recall remake was it and that was when? 2014 maybe, a long time ago.

haven't you noticed jessica hasn't been in any big movie for the last 5 years maybe 10 years. her career is over. she had a better than she deserved and was worth run. being a bad actress, she never went to acting classes or never learned from them, she was always just eye candy and you can only go so far with those two things, one working against you and the other working for you.

the fact she was famous and in starring roles in big movies for about 13 years was longer than most actresses of her qualifications get. for most it's 5 years and for a very small amount of actresses it's 10 years.

Don't think she was ever a huge star, certainly a B actress at her height, but never in huge movies. I guess you could say Blade was her most popular movie, but her role was still pretty limited. She's back to TV now and certainly has a good career there.

What big movies was she ever in? Blade Trinity, Stealth, an Adam Sandler flick, Valentine's Day lol? Hardly any of these were huge blockbuster films or in the list of best movies to see in those years. She never reached popularity of A list actresses like Julia Roberts, Kidman, Knightley, Connelly, Foster, etc.

i guess 'm confusing big star with big celebrity? is that it? i've heard that stars are different than just some celebrities. celebrities can just be b or c or d list celebrities and can be b movie actors and reality "stars."

but you have to admit back in 2003, 4, and 5 she was a huge celebrity in the same league of hollywood power as scarlett johansson who was a star, so this gets confusing to me.

Maybe I remember it differently or just have a different perspective. I never remember her being that big of a celebrity/star even during the early 2000's, certainly a mid-range star/celebrity whatever you want to call it. I just remember her being crazy hot, which she still is, and being in some crappy movies which resulted in her never getting to that upper tier of stardom. I never thought of her as popular as the actresses listed above or even Johansson who didn't really become a hit until Lost in Translation and then became a major star once the MCU took off, at least imo.

Either way, she had made some good material as of late. Maybe she'll attempt to transition back to film when her kids are older, but who knows. TV certainly isn't a bad paycheck too.

She was in The Sinner just a few years ago and that show was nominated for awards. First season is absolute stellar.
