That looks more like a swayed back than anything.
Back view makes more sense than side view. With a side view you can change your posture (arch your back or stand on one leg) and look different. Rihanna does this a lot in her Instagram photos.
Nothing went away, she's the same weight as she always was. The butt changes different sizes depending on clothing.
