Camilla is miscast as latin...

Why Camilla is in this movie? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0893412/

She is not Latin/Latina! She is an American of Brazilian origin (mother is Brazilian). Two cultures that have nothing to do with Latin culture (or Hispanic, if you like).

Unfortunately, Camilla, who seemed to have a promising career, lately only chooses mistaken roles.

She must urgently change her agent and scape from that stereotyped "Latinization" .

That will ruin her (future) career.

Brazilians are not Latinos.

Latino is synonymous with being Hispanic and speaking Spanish. Brazilians never spoke Spanish and never had hispanic/latin culture.

AH, the ignorance, latins or latinos are called that because their language is derived from latin (the roman empire's language), such languages are called Romance Languages, and we can count spanish, italian, portuguese, romanian, french, among others as such.

So, yeah, brazilians ARE latins or latinos. It is a linguistic term, NOT an ethnical one as americans insist, which is why a white mexican or a black colombian are BOTH latin americans regardless of the color of their skin.

Latin refers to Latin speaking countries like those in South and Central Americas, Italy, Spain, France, Romania, and Portugal.
