shareI, and most other straight men (as far as I have heard) prefer for women to have shoulder-length or longer hair. Most women look better that way. There are rare exceptions. For example, Louise Brooks was stunning with short hair in the 1920s, but in photos of her with longer hair in the 1930s she's pretty, yet ordinary. Shirley MacLaine, in her youth, also looked great with short hair. In Hathaway's case, I realize she originally had it chopped for "Les Miserables", but it's not as flattering to her as growing it back long would be.
