How sickening. She wasn't doing that to be "noble". She was obviously flaunting her wealth.

What, you think throwing away billions money on space-race contests with your fellow billionaires would be a better use for her money?

No, she did it to pander to her viewers, and I have no problem with that. The fans made her filthy rich, and it's decent of her to thank her fans in return.

It was a giveaway paid for by Pontiac as promotion for their newly released G6 model. I can't STAND when I hear people giving Oprah credit. It's almost as asinine as people thinking Trump personally sent them stimmy checks from his own bank account because he had his name stamped on them.

I remember her doing that when I was still in high school. I thought that was crazy, but I also knew she was rich and could get away with such big spending like that. It certainly got her attention on tv, that's for sure. Even crazier, one of my English teachers was on one of her shows where she did that, and my teacher got to brag about getting one of those insanely expensive Neptune clothes washers and dryers for free.

Just so you know, Okrah gave the cars away, but she didn't buy them. Pontiac provided the cars, she just took credit.
