When Will We Stop Pretending?

When will we stop pretending that a 70 year old man is supposed to be this "enigmatic, bad-ass force to be reckoned with?" I was willing to accept it up to Machete. He was great in that. But lately, I just find it ridiculous and insulting that filmmakers want us to pretend like this old man can be a badass action hero. Same goes for Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Seagal, Norris, etc... I don't want to see grandpa slowly pummeling his way through his grandkids, trying not to trip and break his hip while he steps out of the shot to let the stuntman take a fall. Put these fossils out to pasture for f-[beep]-k's sake. I like Danny Trejo as an actor, but Jesus, let him act his age.
