College is always there, a hollywood career is not. If his hollywood career failed for sure then he could have gone to college and had his back up plan. He didn't need to do it when he did. I still am wondering why he did. I guess just for something to do when not acting at the time. But I think producers and directors don't always want to deal with someone who is in school and will only do work during 3 months of summer. Like, that may not be when they want to shoot the movie and what about a press tour? He chose to go to school over doing that stuff and if he wanted a career in hollywood, I think it was a stupid move. It didn't show a lot of dedication, priority and like, you know I'm so special that you can work around my choices etc. Also, time away from the limelight can mean death to an actors career, JTT is a great example of that. People move on, find new entertainment, shows, stars... My mom told me a saying once, jack of many trades, master of none.
