JTT coming back to acting?

I hope if he actually wants to, that he does.

I do think now is as good of a time as any.

Well its harder to come back when you been out for so long. Not to say he cant come back but its HARD!

I sure hope so, if that's what he wants. Like another poster said, it'll be hard for him to shed his former child star image to be taken as a more serious actor (if that's his direction), but not impossible. Like Mark-Paul Gosselaar from Saved by the Bell is now on "Franklin&Bash"

But if he wants to remain of the spot light... I'll be fine with that too. I wonder if he's going to the Lion King in 3D premiere?

No its impossiable but the difference with Mark is he kept at it.

Plus its hard to come back after so many years. He will never get the same status he had when he was a child actor.

It sure is. That's why I really do hope if he wants it that he tries his best, with this recent publicity. It's probably going to be the one shot he has to do so, with good results.

I'm sure some people will take that the wrong way. I LOVE him, have ALWAYS thought he really had some serious acting chops, and would LOVE to see him again. I've been wanting to for years.

But you're right. Hard even when you DON'T take SUCH long hiatus. Plus, he's freaking Jonathan Taylor Thomas. The kid couldn't go ANYWHERE when he was in the spotlight before, without being mobbed. Even if that is way in the past, and will only be reflected on with nostalgia...unfortunately he'll always have a heck of a time getting away from "JTT" and being remembered as a heartthrob. =/


I just want him to do his best with what he wants. And if he wants to come back, I will support him and hope it works out for him. If he'd rather just lay low (maybe still act and direct if he can, but without wanting to "relaunch" crazy public exposure), I'm perfectly fine with that, and don't blame him.

yeah i didnt get that because he had good acting chops but he wasnt in the league of like Robin Williams or Whoopi Goldberg.

I'd love to see him back on TV.

I think he has a better chance on TV than movies as back in the day, the movies he did were very much tailored to HIM back in the day, and I don't know if he'd be able to pull off a starring role these days.

But I would love to see him guest star on Big Bang Theory, or other comedy shows out there at the moment!

Or on a CW show like Vampire Diaries - he could still pass as a teenager!!!
