He was something else, that's for sure! I think he was mayor of Cincinnati at one time.

I can't believe the first post on his page is announcing his demise.

"I can't believe the first post on his page is announcing his demise."

I was surprised too.

reply

He was also election advisor of Robert Kennedy.

reply

He was the Mayor of Cincinnati but was forced to resign because he paid for a hooker with a check.

R.I.P. Guy defined the 90s

But backstage here's a hillbilly wife who claims SHE's the mother of the real Jerry...

Was sad to hear this. I generally loathe those kinds of shows, but Springer was different. He was clearly intelligent, had a very appealing and entertaining manner, and you could tell that he thought as little of his guests as we did. RIP

He was clearly intelligent..

I don't disagree. I used to watch him for a bit before being burned out by that type of show, but I remember him ad-libbing and the jokes going over his guest's heads as well as most of the audience.

The king of trash TV dies. There has to be a joke to go along with this...

Anyhow... RIP. I actually liked that dating game show he hosted for a while. It was called Baggage. That was a very good show. If you haven't seen it, check it out. Link...

I was thinking about that stupid chant just now, wow the goofy talk shows of my youth, a bygone era! May he RIP!

reply

He was the best at what he do.

RIP Jerry

reply

I never really cared for those types of shows, unless I was sick at home from school and nothing else was on T.V. But, he did have some thought-provoking final talk segments.

R.I.P.. Jerry!
