πŸŽ‚ HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY! πŸŽ‚

Born - 04th July 1924.

A major milestone birthday.

The legendary actress is celebrating her 100th birthday on Thursday, July 4. The Academy Award winner tells PEOPLE she plans to celebrate with four generations of family members.

β€œI’m looking forward to spending my 100th birthday in Los Angeles with my dear, dear family. Four generations of family members will be gathering together from Los Angeles, Chicago, Santa Barbara and San Francisco," Saint, whose Oscar win came in 1955 for her role in On the Waterfront alongside Marlon Brando, says.

"I certainly don’t feel 100 years old," the actress adds of her daily life. "I continue to take walks out in the fresh air, like watching baseball β€” especially the Los Angeles Dodgers, and enjoy time with my family and friends. A good life.”

I hope, amidst any traditional Fourth of July celebrations, that the "four generations" including Saint gathered around the TV to watch the launch of Eva Marie Saint as the "Turner Classic Movies Star of the Month -- leading off with her two most famous movies: On the Waterfront (1954), with Marlon Brando, and North by Northwest(1959) with Cary Grant. The TCM host Ben Mankewicz had plenty to say about Eva Marie as a TCM friend and was hoping she was watching.

On the Waterfront was Saint's first movie, and she won the Oscar "first time out." Though she was in the leading female role, they put her in the "Supporting" category and got the win.

Interesting: Grace Kelly was offered the "On the Waterfront" part and instead took a role in ANOTHER great classic: Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window. It must be tough for actors to pick between two "potential great ones" but Kelly "fit" Rear Window. She would win her Oscar (in 1954, the release year OF Rear Window) for yet ANOTHER movie: The Country Girl.

Isn't that great to hear? Let's hope we all make it to 100 and feel that good.
