The problem with Roseanne is a matter of timing. Her career had been quite cool for a while, and the public forgot she was a loud mouthed offensive idiot. Had she been at the height of her fame, these tweets would have been shrugged off. People expect Howard to say crazy crap every time he gets on the air. It's what he does. It's what she used to do. But twitter is a HORRIBLE unforgiving medium. Imagine if Don Rickles was taking to twitter every day unloading his act on people. They'd lose their minds. The context is all wrong.
