I'm not bothered about the Oscars one way or the other, but I'd have huge respect for him if he did.

It might even be wilder if they got both him and Will Smith to co-host the Oscars. lol
I think it will be good for both of them, and Oscar, if they co-host next year, shake hands and say their sorries. Smith apologizes for the slap, then Rock apologizes for joking about his wife's ailment, in that order.
And maybe, just maybe, explicitly joke about this incident.
But whether that can happen is another matter. These people tend to have big egos.
