Debbie Reynolds has a very peculiar opinion of Latinas

The controversy arose when Miss Reynolds, keynote speaker at a Fresno women's conference last month, was asked what advice she had for Hispanic women.

''I believe there's a lot of work in domestic work that enables you to make a good salary,'' the actress told a Spanish language television station. ''There's a lot of homes that are owned by wealthy people, you know, that do employ people.''



Hispanic women are just the help to her. Like a bunch of maids would be at a woman conference in Fresno. If I were her daughter I'd have been doing a line of coke every 6 hours like Carrie too.

Latina women make up a huge part of the household assistants/maids/daycare givers in most upper-middle-class/high class homes in the country, so I don't see it as a "particular view" but rather as a common observation.

Newsflash, most old people still have this form of outdated thinking. You can't blame old people for thinking this way, honestly.

"Old" people have this "outmoded" thinking? I'm 27 and I agree with Debbie .. and I have two Hispanic women working in my household... as do my neighbors.

Hispanic women do make good maids ... very thorough.

Why would the latinas at a Fresno Womens conference be Illegal though? Its not a border town, and these were professional women.
