Old Hollywood
How many stars of that era are left?
shareI don't know, but I would rather not know β because to have a numbered list makes the eventual extinction of them seem all the more imminent and close at hand.
Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!
Olivia de Havilland is still alive at age 100
shareSean Connery, Gene Hackman and Clint Eastwood are all older than Debbie Reynolds.
shareDoris Day is still alive. Alan Young also died this year. He played Wilbur on MISTER ED and was in Time Machine and the voice of Scrooge McDuck. His death hit me very hard. I had talked with him several times through the last few years and loved him dearly. I will ALWAYS love him and they will never make another ALAN.
Debbie, like Alan, was also extremely talented and IMHO never looked her true age. In addition, she deserved a lot better than what happened to her in Hollywood and relationships.
Jerry Lewis is also still alive and 90 (I think).
I will always remember Alan Young as a Scotsman who said of Rod Taylor at the end of The Time Machine "He's got all the tame in the wuddle!"
The Players of The Game are the scum of the earth.
LOL! Alan Young WAS A DOLL!
How could everyone forget Kirk Douglas??? 100 this year.
shareI loved Alan Young - I got the multi-picture framed from the Time Machine with Rod Taylor (another favorite) and Alan's signature. I also got a framed autographed picture of him with Mr. Ed for my best friend since high school and he signed it "Happy Birthday Beth, from me and Mr. Ed" Alan Young. So sweet! He was a Christian so I expect to see him in Heaven!
