Joachin, Dear, this is why speechwriters exist.
Let someone else put things into words for you, from now on. You do it on your day job, after all.

shareJoachin...LMAO
shareI just wish he could have thanked the director who missed out on best picture.
shareIt wouldn’t really matter. The guy has massive social anxiety.
shareIt's a party killer, believe me. I have some whoppers of stories to tell, yet I always screw it up and then fear the eyes upon me and it just comes out as drivel.
I wish this country put more money into mental issues.
I bet the US puts more money into erectile disfunction than they do anxiety.
Maybe I'm wrong. So be it.
Erectile dysfunction and anxiety are closely related

Both he and Zellweger rambled on far too long... he has been praised for his speeches this awards season but that was a disappointing capper, I thought - but the tribute to his brother with which he closed was a killer finish.
shareTo me it felt like, "welp, I got the oscar, you can't take it back now. so i finally get to say whatever the hell I want."
shareLOL!!! Pretty much!
Gawd, seeing him kiss a grimacing Halle Berry would have been more fun that that mess.
Funny thing is, he seems to be one of those rare actors - Sean Penn is another, or was - who can consistently behave in weird or even downright antisocial ways all they like, but whose peers unwaveringly hold them in immense esteem. I suspect Phoenix will probably win another Oscar at some point down the line. The respect for him in the industry is huge, I think.
shareThey both make me sick to my stomach. Their speeches were nothing more than dribble and self-serving for which no one cared to listen after the first thirty seconds.
shareI was just thrilled he swerved onto a Peta rant instead the current political stuff. That was nice and old school. I miss the days when our celebs were just grumpy about animal rights.
shareI have seen this guy chastise the crew on his movie and argue with reporters.
They call him Cher on set.
This is a guy who is twisted up inside.
I have no doubt that he treats the people around him like dogshit, and tries to make himself feel like a good person by ranting about political causes instead of behaving better. A lot of Hollywood "activists" are like that.
Sadly, the only karmic bitchslap waiting for most of them is the fact that their careers tend to fade VERY quickly once they have a few flops. Actors who are "difficult" don't get a lot of second chances, once their careers begin to fade, while the decent Keanu Reeveses get second chance after second chance.
talking about animals is always better than politics though........ be it on the street, at a family dinner......
always better
