Amanda Peet thinks parents who don't vaccinate are 'parasites'!

As the mother of a 4 year old who was diagnosed with autism, I have decided not to vaccinate my 15 month old until she has reached important milestones. I feel that this is my right as a parent and I certainly don't need some "celebrity" questioning my descisions when she has not walked a mile in my shoes! Amanda, please do every parent of a child with autism a favor and do not question our descisions. You just worry about your daughter and your perfect life in Beverly Hills!

Vaccines do save lives. The autism link claimed by the anti vax nuts is false and has been debunked.

But vaccines are not "perfectly safe." Hundred of kids get reactions bad enough to cause a permanent injury or debilitation and in some cases death, from reactions to vaccines.

Then numbers of serious adverse affects are small, given the million and millions of dosages administered per year, and the cost/benefit to both society and the individual is massively in favor of vaccinating, but it is not accurate to say they are "perfectly safe."
