How in the world is Rhoda considered the ugly, desperate friend?
Valerie Harper was a knockout, the best looking woman on the show. Men would have been falling all over her, in real life.
shareMary looked smoking hot on the Dick Van Dyke show. Whatever happened to her the few years between DVD show and her show. Probably diabetes, drinking in excess and smoking will age someone. Mary also had a great body and a great set of t.ts. Even Lou Grant said that she "has a nice caboose", so there.
The woman I thought was the best looking was Georgia Engel who played Georgette. She is gorgeous and a "blonde bombshell" if there ever was one. Was actually still in her 20's when on MTM show. Problem is that she is in these frumpy, middle aged woman clothes (and the 1970's fashions were horrid)and she had this "little girl" voice to her. I would love to go back to 1975, change her hair, get rid of those frumpy asss clothes, and make her smoke until her voice dropped an octive or three.
Valarie Harper looked good too, but she could not upstage Mary.When she got her own show "Rhoda" they glammed her up and she is arguably more attractive than Mary.
