Kiss frontman Paul Stanley has criticized Marilyn Manson for commemorating the death of Charles Manson by posting a cover of the mass murderer’s 1970 track “Sick City.”

“[It’s] pathetic when somebody who’s career never really took off is desperate enough to try for publicity by connecting himself to the news of a murdering scumbag’s death,” Stanley said of Manson’s “Sick City” cover on his official Twitter page.

I know I'm 3 years late but "somebody who’s career never really took off" seems like an asinine comment on someone who is a household name, even if his post 2003 work was considerably less mainstream.

Context - not long before Paul Stanley’s quote, Manson referred to Kiss as “4 gay dudes in Halloween costumes.” That might be why Paul Stanley made that remark

He has often dressed like a woman in his career, and I’ve heard a lot of his fans are LGBT. So his homophobia would be odd ....
