shareYou probably ruin a lot of things with the same negative qualities, so please shut up. He is a great actor, get used to it.
shareOh, and please Mike, tell us all of the well known movies and shows you have been in.
Oh what was that? None?
Simple Solution:
Avoid watching anything you know he's going to be in. Hence you won't have anything to whine about.
i havent been in any movies and im not whining. i dont hate the guy, i just find it very difficult to watch movies where he is a lead actor. annoying voice and face. its my opinion, and you can disagree if u want to. thats fine.
shareI personally love him and think he's a great actor.
shareeveryone's entitled to their own opinion ..so imma go ahead and give mine.
john lithgow is one of the best actors alive. he has such a versatile nature, he can do almost everything, every roll there is.
even tho he's best known for his performance in the NBC sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun, he has achieved success on many other areas (stage, film, he also sings and writes books for children)
if you hate him tho, that's your call.. but don't be writing hateful comments on his IMDB profile.
have a good day, sir.
I think he's made a pretty good career out of manipulating his style. That's the mark of a good character actor, being able to take your eccentricities and use them to your advantage.
Personally, I think Third Rock from the Sun was pure GENIUS! (and Garp wasn't far behind. He took that character way beyond what I had seen in the book, and that's rare. Most of the time, the characterizations in a book are so much better than anything you see on screen.) And he was, far and away, the best Don Quixote ever done on screen (I've never seen it on stage, so I can't speak for that.
