Michael Jackson never should have settled that lawsuit as people just assumed he was guilty after that. He would have won if he fought it as there was no credible evidence he did anything wrong.
While understandable once all the facts are made clear, he still on principle shouldn't have allowed his lawyers to convenience him to settle on those charges & would have fought had California not had the nonsensical (and since changed) law that allowed a civil case to precede a criminal one(Jackson fought to have the criminal case take place first). Regardless if he fought the charges and won (which he would have) the tabloid media already had such and anti Michael Jackson bias that they would have pushed the same narrative anyway. He fought & won in the 2005 trial, thoroughly discrediting those charges but the the media & predisposed haters simply pushed the "he got away with it" narrative. It would have been the same thing with the original bogus case.
It’s proven the claims added to his mental decline. I’ve suspected by the time of the trial he was mentally, emotionally and physically broken. Mental problems can often cause physical illness too. I think he was just at the mercy of his lawyers. He likely couldn’t even think straight. I’ve had a mental break down too more than once due to stress and during those times just making a simple decision as what to eat seems impossible. Michael Jackson was known not to eat and got his nutrients sometimes from IVs.
Yes I’ve read this book twice actually and it’s wonderful. Corey had a very close relationship with Michael Jackson as did Macaulay Culkin. Both of these boys came from abusive homes as did Michael Jackson. This strengthened their bond. I love how Michael Jackson tries to help Corey and speaks to I think his dad. That had to take courage.
Since his book Corey has been very out spoken about sexual abuse. I was abused myself and spoken to Corey multiple times on the subject supporting his call to get the abusers out of Hollywood. He’s such a great man and I admire his honesty on his past. It’s especially hard for boys to come forward about sexual abuse.
What sucks is, everyone gave him shit for years, but now that ppl are finally being able to come up with all this, including men, he can finally be taken a little bit more seriously on these claims.
Exactly what universe do you live in where a vanilla heterosexual porn magazine (The only porn of any kind that was ever found in Jackson's estate) amounts to "smoke" in relation to homosexual child molestation? Equal or less smoke than 99 percent of the adult male population according to that standard.
Racism has always been a big motivator with Michael Jackson haters but there are also just a lot of gullible, misguided people who get swayed by the media power machine.
I'm fairly certain that the ppl hating on MJ are not hating on him cause he's black. They're hating him because he's super sus.
Now keep in mind, I am an MJ supporter and for a number of reasons (including what you pointed out), I believe he never committed these these crimes for which he was accused. But he was weird and did a lot of sus things. That's why ppl think he's guilty. Not cause he's black.
