Michael Jackson’s philosophy for overcoming racism was simple...

“Jackson’s philosophy for overcoming racism was simple: he would make everything he did so good it simply couldn’t be denied.” -Joseph Vogel, author of 'Man in the Music: The Creative Life and Work of Michael Jackson'

This was so true. Michael Jackson's talent was so great that he shattered the color barrier, becoming the most famous & successful artist of all time when institutional anti black racism in the music industry was still very much an open secret. Sadly though a black man eclipsing every white artists there ever were also made him a threat to the "establishment", making him a huge target for the rest of his life.

Michael Jackson didn't like to be called a 'black artist'. He was just an artist, period.

He liked aspects of black culture, european culture, Japanese culture, etc. He didn't limit himself to labels or tags.

With that said, his father taught him that being black was not attractive. He changed every aspect about him that showed him to be a black man.

His plan for dealing with racism was simple all right: He used the "Don't Look Like An Adult Black Man" strategy!

It worked.

Michael Jackson was proud of being black & publicly expressed so. He was also very aware of how it played into his horrific treatment by the 98% white controlled media after he eclipsed every white artist in existence. It's really only ever been the envious & the anti black racists (generally one in the same) who try to mock & belittle his identity as a black man.

When a person says one thing and does another, it's the actions that show how they really feel.

Jackson physically changed himself from a black man to a white... non-binary, and went through a lot of time, money, and pain to do so. And don't give me that bull about vitiligo, if he'd wanted to keep looking like a black man he'd have kept his skin brown, his hair curly, and his face resembling someone whose ancestors came from Africa. But he didn't, he went for pasty white skin, straight hair, and features that looked like a cartoon white person's.

Michael Jackson hid his vitiligo for years by evening it out with brown makeup. Obviously as it worsened over time, the impracticality of wearing full body brown makeup resulted in him having to eventually start doing the opposite.

It was also never Michael Jackson's or any black person's responsibility to answer to envious & hateful people who don't realize the inherent racism in feeling its their place to dictate what kind of hairstyle a black person should or should not have or to judge what kind of surgery they should or should not get based on their being black.

Man, you're not even trying!

Did you even read what Threadkiller wrote?
Besides, there are plenty of photographical evidence of MJ having vitiligo spots on his skin.

reply

i mean its proven he had vitiligo, but with the amount of plastic surgery he went through, im sure he couldve aimed for a more blackish look, but he didnt. he turned into a white woman.
