Whitney Houston was a grown woman, you can't forever blame the mother for your problems. If you want to better yourself, there is always a way, but Whitney was too brainwashed and too dumb to see where the problems lied. On top of the shitty family she also chose shitty friends like Kim Burrell, RayJ, Raffles van Excel and trashy hood husbands, she kicked the only person who could have saved her from the mess she was in, Robyn, out of her life.

Whitney Houston was her own worst enemy.

Jackson, Prince, Houston...
We have seen a lot of our greatest artists die for really dumb reasons

I agree with you. She should have kicked her bad friends out of her life, focused on her music career and had some positive influences in her life. Turning to drugs also was a terrible mistake; she basically destroyed her life by doing so.

Honestly, I have difficulty working up any sympathy for those who make choices fully knowing the consequences of their actions yet make them anyway. What is sad and tragic to me is the person with so much to live for who is struck down by a disease or accident not of their own doing, or a parent who loses a child, etc. They get my sympathy and my help when I can provide any.

Whitney? Screw her and everyone like her.
