I love her voice

i have only seen her in Jane Eyre but she has one of most beautiful voices i've ever heard. She also did a short narration for Madonna's song from ALbum Music, and i thought it was really great
i hope to see her in more American movies since it's hard to find some of Euroupean films that she's done.

i totally agree. I Just saw her in 21 grams and I thought her voice (and accent) were very sexy>

That wasn't a narration. Gainsbourg's voice was taken from her movie "THe Cement Garden." It's a good, tho' bizarre flick, but if you're into Gainsbourg, there's plenty of her (and her voice) to enjoy. BTW, Gainsbourg's French, and by her own admission, doesn't have the grasp of English that she'd wish; so bear that in mind while you watch. One could never tell!

Yeah, apparently she is (or was) pretty self-conscious about her English, and her pronunciation, but having an English mother obviously helped, and one would never know that she was brought up speaking mainly French! *Very* impressive.

reply

Yeah, I think she did. That is pretty impressive!

Though born in London, she actually grew up in Paris, speaking French as her first language; I think this makes her English and accent more impressive.
