I dislike most of his work

...and I have been tempted to write him off many times. But he surprises me once or twice a decade with a good movie or role. I can’t think of any other actor that generally disappoints me but occasionally pleasantly surprises me.

I began to avoid his comedy stuff years ago. He crushed it when he does drama.

His performance in Uncut Gems is one for the ages.

I enjoyed him in Uncut Gems, 50 First Dates, Billy Madison, Wedding Singer and a handful of SNL skits - but almost nothing else.

Whether the industry likes it or not, Sandler appears to be one of the few true "movie stars", in that he seems to be able to achieve financial success just by having his name attached to projects. As low brow, crass, lazy, etc. as some people may find his work, his stuff usually makes good money

I don't know how successful his movies with Netflix have been, but probably pretty successful considering that they're extending the deal

What is critical acclaim really worth? It doesn't put food on the table. I get why Sandler does what he does. It seems to make him and his circle and his fanbase happy. Even if I think many of his movies suck I can't blame the man for going this route, he has no reason to only pursue roles like Punch Drunk Love and Uncut Gems. Hollywood awards are all bullshit anyway, celebs that chase them have to kiss a bunch of ass and put on fake smiles and say all the right things, I would rather make hella moolah than jump on that bandwagon

Poor Rob Schneider seems pretty hurt that he was or has not been admitted as a member of the Academy - other than ‘Police Academy’. 😂

The Wedding Singer is my favorite of Sandler.

Like most of the SNL cast...his best work belonged on the program.
