And for fun, how much of a stretch was it for him to play a weak-spined dot-com millionaire brat in Get Carter? Yeah, "challenging." The Smurfs -- "challenging." Romy and Michele -- "challenging." Come on.
Let's just call this one for what it is. Either he made crappy choices, or (more likely) nobody wants him for their good movies.
