Such as New Kids On The Block and Debbie Gibson as well as dance pop artists (Taylor Dayne), and vocally-weak-but-strong-dancer acts (like Paula Abdul and Milli Vanilli)?

no because brittany speers arrive with all other pop retards in late 90s. pop music does not go away it like std it stay forever.

Debbie Gibson was a prodigious talent. Different league from the other "teen pop" listed.

I thought her music sounded like everything else on the radio back then. She may have sold a ton of records but she wasn't killing anything.

Nirvana on the other hand...
