What in the hell happened to this poor lady? Does anyone know? Her looks are totally inconsistent with her age. She can only be about 54(now) or so, based on what she said in a DVD background documentary, yet she looks like 70! Did she have a disease of some sort? It's awful. I remember her from "Eight is Enough", and from "Carrie", and I always thought she look very nice. She is only 3-4 years older than the other young actors from that movie, as she pointed out. A few of the girls from that movie aged very well. It was a huge contrast.

I have had the opportunity to meet with Ms. Buckley on several occasions. I think she looks very beautiful, but in a natural way. She wears very little makeup and has allowed her hair to turn gray. Maybe this look does not transfer well to the cameras but I have to admire an actress these days who is willing to age gracefully.

I know what you mean. I'm in my teens and I think she's a very attractive women/ I like her with that curly blonde hair she has in several pictures and I thought she was very pretty in Carrie. I'm actually listening to her music off Amazon at the moment. I think she's got a lovely singing voice. I'd like to know more about her though.

I love Betty Buckley. Remember on 8 is Enough and Carrie she was in her late 20s into her 30s when 8 is Enough aired. I had a huge crush on her as Abby on 8 is Enough. Her singing is powerful and her acting is outstanding. On 8 is Enough she gave some powerful performances on the show and she gave Abby depth not making her a typical TV wife but a woman who is human and with a life outside the home.

She always appeared a little older than her actual age. She was only about 30-31 when she played Abbie Bradford. Actually, Joanie (Laurie Walters) was older than she was in real life, which they were supposed to keep secret back then.

I think she had other problems which may have made her look older.
