Oh Thank Heavens! I thought i was the only person left on the planet who hadn't gone baby crazy. So many people just don't consider the consequences of their actions - "i feel like having a baby" is what is selfish. Nobody seems to understand that they will be bringing an actual person into the world, the state of the world doesn't seem to be a factor, their capability to raise a child doesn't seem to be a factor, and what that child will have to go through in their life doesn't seem to bother them. "I want a baby" appears to be the only thought on their mind. But thanks so much for letting me know that I'm not alone with my thoughts!
I'd also like to add I cannot bare how people recoil in horror when a women says she doesn't want a baby, then she's called every name under the sun - with selfish being the main, usually followed by "I'm sure you'll change your mind." Why? a woman's sole purpose is not to breed, this is the 21st century not the stone age. People need to accept that everyone is different, and everyone wants different things. A woman can be fulfilled in life without a child on her hip. Also, having a family is not the essential successor to getting married. You can be married WITHOUT kids, being childless doesn't equate to eternal singlehood. When will the world accept people for who they are, without criticism?...
