Why is SHE the only one dogged by 'Showgirls'?

There's a an entire cast of well known actors/actresses in this movie but whenever Elizabeth Berkeley is shown on tv or talked about by media commentators they always reference her to "Showgirls".

Even Gina Gershon has been able to detach herself from the film and she's not lambasted for being involved with it.

Some of the others spoke out in her defences true. But only Joe tried to take some of the blame on herself saying the fauilure of the film was as much his fault as hers.
