Peter Berg the new Martin Scorsese?

I think he may be. His films double-team you with poetry and grit until you are left bleeding on the floor.

I can't wait for Battleship. Some are saying it could be his magnum opus. I think they may be right!

I think if they would let him work and not put restrictions on him he would be truly great. I remember how impressed I was with just the one episode of Wonderland that was aired on ABC (that was his first mistake.... HBO would have had no problem airing it)then they pulled it because they were afraid of offending some folks. It was a series about a mental hospital and the first episode was stunning! I know it wasn't true to life..what show is - hells bells it wasn't a documentary! Maybe they pitched it as true to life ...I can't remember. They should have been right up front that it was just a dramatization and totally fictitious. On HBO you don't have to. I am so sick of everything having to be PC. God forbid everything doesn't go down sweet and easy. I'll be so glad when it becomes politically correct to use the on/off switch or just to change channels instead of letting others lord their will and taste over everyone else's. Oh and BTW, I am LOVING the job he is doing on The Leftovers! Bravo Peter Berg!!!!!
