Peter Berg the new Martin Scorsese?

I think he may be. His films double-team you with poetry and grit until you are left bleeding on the floor.

I can't wait for Battleship. Some are saying it could be his magnum opus. I think they may be right!

Wow, I want some of the stuff you're smoking.
Peter Berg is a joke.
How dare you put him and Scorsese in the same sentence?

reply

Yup this dude is deffinetly on something good, Berg is not that bad (i loved "the Kingdom") but he's also not that good.

Yeah you might want to wait another 30 years before making a claim like that.

Say hello to the bad guy!

Is this Peter Berg's IMDB account or his mom's?

Berg did a decent job with FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS... that is until I saw the TV show and saw how much better it was than his film.

VERY BAD THINGS, THE RUNDOWN, HANCOCK & THE KINGDOM were all terrible and outside of HANCOCK - all were money losers. HANCOCK made $$$ because of Will Smith.

I never wish evil, but Berg could've built on FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, instead, he simply started taking paychecks. I have no respect for him.

Martin Scorsese would've never made a movie as bad as Battleship, he definitely would've never decided to add aliens to the movie considering the board game had absolutely nothing to do with aliens. Having a movie of battling naval ships just wasn't good enough for him I guess, had to make it Battleship meets Transformers.

Battleship is actually a really clever satire. Unfortunately it's too subtle that people didn't actually get it. Which says a lot about the state of movies and the audiences today.

reply

Too late, it's already been made and *confirmed*. In fact I can't even remember who that Scorsese guy is...

reply

Yup
