Allegations of racism are bullsh*t as far as I'm concerned
Seriously people, when has Michael Bay ever been outright racist?
I'll even argue against Skidz and Mudflap on this one. Were those characters pointless and (arguably) unfunny? Sure, but hardly racist. What a lot of you people don't seem to realize is that people like this exist in real life regardless of their ethnicity, whether they're African-American, Asian, Caucasian or other. So to look at this stereotype and associate everything negative about it (crooked teeth, gold teeth, poor literary skills, bad speaking ability and use of street slang etc.) with a particular race is probably being racist more than anything else.
Sure, you could pull the whole "I'm not the only one" argument, but having a shared opinion doesn't always mean it's fact. Especially since this complaint is mostly just said by internet sheep and wannabe film critics who follow the pathetic hate trend. Nobody ever complained about the frequent use of foreign stereotypes in the BBC sketch show Little Britain (see the Ting Tong Macadangdang live sketch for a perfect example), Come Fly With Me, or the countless ethnic/foreign stereotypes in South Park. Yeah, remember Tuong Lu Kim the owner of City Wok, and his famous speech impediment? Yeah nuff' said (sure, South Park's been nothing short of controversy since it's inception, but it's never been trendy to accuse Trey Parker and Matt stone for being racist).
Meanwhile, Quentin Tarantino (i.e. The most overrated filmmaker of the modern age) has filled his films with some of the racist characters ever put on screen. Not just Black and foreign stereotypes, but also White characters who constantly berate and disparage Black people. Heck, he even cast himself as Jimmie in Pulp Fiction so he could shout "DEAD NI&&ER STORAGE!!!" at the top of his lungs and he get's called a genius for it.
But no matter how many people complain about the stereotypes in Bay's movies, there's always been a dignified Black character in there as well, like Captain Darrow from The Rock, General Kinsey from Armageddon, Doris Miller from Pearl Harbor, Sydney Burnett from Bad Boys II, Albert Laurent from The Island and Sergeant Epps from Transformers 1-3 just to name a few.
