How come this guy can't drive?

I've read in a few different articles that this guy doesn't know how to drive, and had some small driving scene in Vicky Cristina Barcelona where he had to practice driving for days and then afterwards still didn't really know how.

I didn't know it was possible to get around without being able to drive. I mean I guess if you really really love huge cities, but even then in LA you can't get anywhere without a car.

Doesn't make any sense to me.

Hes an alright actor though, no disrespect to the guy, I am just confused as to how you can get by for so long without driving yourself around.

He should have at the very least been nominated for an Oscar for Mar Adentro. You can probably buy Le detective y la muerte from a buyer on Amazon or eBay. But it is only in region 2. So you have to either have a region free DVD player or get the DVD converted to region 1 (unless you live in a region 2 area). It is a great film and Javier is terrific in it as is the whole cast. It is also a very unusual film.
