one of the worst ever actors?

Watch him in "Gardens of the Night" where he plays a child molester. *beep* terrifying. And yes, his trade is in dumb comedies, but his role in that film-a film so sad, bleak, disturbing, and upsetting-came out of left field. And he's convincing in it. Because he himself was the victim of a child molester. You just don't see comedians (especially ones so vilified by the public as he is) to pull off movie magic (or in this case, movie voodoo) like that. Carrot Top certainly wouldn't attempt something like this. I understand why that film didn't get more recognition. (It is a tough ride not for the faint of heart). But it's a shame because Tom turned himself into a scary villain and shocked EVERYONE. Unfortunately, he has since returned to the realm of the unfunny comedy (aside from appearances on "Law and Order: SVU" and "Sons of Anarchy.") But that film proves that if he wants to be, he could play a real nasty son of a bitch with CONVICTION.
