Why the obsession over her?

I don't understand what's so appealing about her. Maybe it's just me, but she doesn't seem to branch out at all with her roles and she seems incredibly boring in the interviews I've seen with her. She was funny in "Married with Children" but to be honest, it's not like that role takes a whole lot of talent. Everyone just seems so obsessed with her but I don't get it! I actually read an article that said she's had the most success of the "Married..with Children" cast and I'm sorry but that couldn't be further from the truth. Katey Sagal has done a lot of great work, "8 Simple Rules" and "Sons of Anarchy" to name a few, and recently got a Hollywood star on the Walk of Fame. Ed O'Neill is on "Modern Family" which is a really popular show. Christina's done two crappy sitcoms that didn't last more than 1 or 2 seasons and a bunch of silly rom-coms.

Is there any show or movie where she actually shows some talent that I'm missing? Enlighten me.

She was considered "hot" back in the 80s as Kelly Bundy. I'm an 80s/Gen X kid so I grew up with her as a media icon but I never once thought she was "all that". Maybe my tastes were skewed but she just looked rather plain and dull with her overly frizzled hair-bear, manicure, and caked on makeup. I was into a variety of celebrity chicks from Phoebe Cates and Brooke Shields to Heather Thomas and Tawnee Kataen and Elizabeth Shue.

Christina is fine and has had a respectable, if unremarkable, career. Nothing to get worked up over either way, for me anyway.

I've always thought she was alright (I like "Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead" and "The Sweetest Thing", while I'm with the majority when it comes to "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy") and think she's had a good career, but I never was enamored with her like Donnie Darko was:-).

The obsession is obvious: She's stunning. And even more so as she's aged.
