shareI wish this person well and the very best of health, but Streisand doesn't
do this sort of thing.
I?m going to be having major surgery in September, 2016. My intestines are crimped, and they have to reroute my intestines, among other things. My stomach and intestines have to be taken apart, and put back together, again. The main reason of this letter is because, I?m having Surgery, and I'll be prone to developing sepsis, as well ad a staph infection, which could be fatal. I?ve been very ill, as of recent. I?ve had three blood transfusions, and five iron infusions, so my health isn?t the greatest.
I?ve seen Barbra Streisand in every concert tour, since 1994. I don?t know what the future holds for me, but I'd love to meet Barbra, get a photo of her and me together, as well as have her sign a photo. I?ve been trying to do things on my bucket list/wish-list. If you could make my dream come true, I?d greatly appreciate it, and it?d mean a lot to me.
I?ll only take a tiny moment of her time, due to her busy schedule. I?m a very dedicated and devoted fan. I?ve been a fan of hers since I was three years old. She has gotten me through a lot of hard/rough/tough times, more than she?ll ever know. This is very special, and important to me. She?s actually saved my life, several times. There were times when I was suicidal, and I either played her music, and/or watched her movies. I don?t beg and plead, as a rule, but ?Nothings Impossible?. In addition to my regular fulltime job, I got a second one, just to buy tickets for her shows. My mother documented that the first songs I ever sang were ?The Way We Were? and ?Watch Closely Now?.
After my surgery in September, I could be bedridden, and incapacitated, for God only knows how long. My Doctor said it could be as long as eight weeks. This might be my one and only chance to meet her. Before I go under the knife, I want my dream to become a reality.

I, for one, am truly sorry to read of your situation. You sound like
a good person, and, for reasons I'm not sure of, I just sense you're
gonna pull through. Hang in there.
Still, as a true fan myself, I've never heard of Streisand doing this sort
of thing. But that isn't to say she hasn't. I've just never heard so.
In Streisand's defense, she is such a huge legend that I'd wager
thousands upon thousands upon thousands of people would love to have her
visit them in such dire straits. It's like that old adage, "If I do it
for you, I have to do it for everyone." Streisand simply couldn't do
that, of course.
There have been a number of stars who have done this, but rarely so. In
the instances where I have read this, it's been with much more minor
celebrities. And the fan was a child. I do know that Sinatra was
known on occasion to grant such wishes. While shooting 1958's "Some
Came Running" (where his behavior otherwise was atrocious), a man
walked up to him on location shooting and told him his mother was dying
and that he was her favorite singer. When Sinatra learned they both
lived several blocks down, he went with the young man to the house and
surprised the ailing mom. Truly a lovely gesture.
Perhaps some other well-schooled fans (PVD?) can lend some advice.

Blah, blah, blah. Streisand is not known for kindness to fans. The best you can do is try to make this campaign as viral online as possible, attempt to contact the media and get the word spread. The only way I could see her even contacting you would be for good, free publicity when her album is out.
Are you on B12 vitamins? Get off of them someone's trying to hurt you if they recommended them.
