How was the film? She appears older on purpose I think for film/TV roles, but she looks great in pics and at signings.

That was kind of the point, really, to make a beautiful queen look aged by insanity. With proper lighting and make-up she'd still look 40.

Or maybe even younger ;-) [possibly because she has claimed in recent years to be ageing backwards, to a point where she and her younger brother will soon end up being twins(!!)]

It depends what the role requires. I've not seen Grendel but sounds like that was the point. And she certainly was meant to look older in "The Closer" when she played an Iranian.

Personally, I think she looks absolutely beautiful. She is over 50: Do you expect her to look 20?
