I feel like Hollywood isn't giving him enough roles.

What's the last thing he's been in? I don't even remember. He deserves better.

reply

He isn't one of them.

reply

Bingo. He places his patriotism before his career. When some future society does the autopsy of what was America, people like Sinese will be admired.

reply

That's it.

I'm damn happy that he isn't one of them.

He's great.

They're shit.

reply

He’s too busy with his foundation and helping veterans and their families to probably do much acting nowadays, shame Meryl Streep, De Niro and all the other Hollywood elite don’t take a leaf out of his book instead of standing at podiums at the Oscars and bashing Trunp.

I kind of do miss seeing him in films though, he’s one of those actors who I’ve never seen give a bad performance, he was brilliant in Forrest Gump and The Stand.

But he’s obviously a man of integrity and passion for everything he does to help people, I think his role as Lt. Dan really changed his life and opened his eyes to this issue.

Sinise is a true hero.

reply

He's never been amazing, but he's always turned out a solid performance in every role. A very reliable actor.

reply

I don't think he wants to be part of Hollywood. I'm sure I read he chose to move away from it for family and personal reasons.

reply

Well also I feel he doesn't have that much of a likable face to be the star of a big budget, like Clooney Pitt Di Caprio Gyllenhaal Cruise etc... of course it is only my personal opinion, but then perhaps some top producers or directors have the same.

reply

It's a valid point - he's not as pretty as the names you've listed. But he has something the camera likes and I've always thought the right role, plus the personal ambition, could have made him a bigger star.

reply

His looks, his star power, his ambitions... regarding his lack of recent work, none of that matters as much as his personal politics.

reply

He's not an amazing actor and he has a distinct look, but he is a solid actor and has had snow controversy so I don't see why people wouldn't hire him. Maybe it was his decision.

reply

He’s a Republican. In Hollywood that might as well be Satan.

reply

True, but he does seem like a soft Republican.

reply

He's a middle age+ guy. Roles are sparse. Only so many guys that were big-ish in the late 80s through the 90s are going to keep pushing through playing dads to main characters. He's done very well for himself whereas other guys of his type fell off long before. These posts saying anything about his political views being factors are nonsense.

reply

He doesn't suck up to the cult of leftism.

reply

Bingo!!

reply

It's not a liberal conspiracy. He's not an outspoken right wing nutjob like James Wood. He seems like a nice guy but once you do CSI, you won't get movie roles thrown at you.

reply

Tell that to David Caru-- nevermind, you're right.
