This is a very good piece of writing by Joely. I wasn't aware of the furore surrounding it. No wonder The Mail have issued an apology and refutation of some of what was printed. Problem is that once something has been put into the public sphere things get remembered or perceived as if true even when they are found not to be at a later time.
