A certain Oscar nod this year...

A dead-lock for Coriolanus... she is also the favorite to win... Yippeeeeee!

She was very powerful in Venus. While it was short, she inhabited the character of Valerie and I left the theater feeling I knew just as much about her as I did all of the other characters. She was great in Wetherby and acid tongue in Prick Up Your Ears...it was her comedic timing that really stood in that performance. Again, a character she inhabited and made into a real person. She was extraordinary in that performance...to each his own of course, but I found her amazing in those films...Agatha not so much (though its been a while since I have seen it.) Camelot, The Devils, Atonement and Coriolanus are a few other performances I felt deserved Oscar recognition.
