A little bit of my childhood died today

As someone born in the 80s and growing up with movies like Ghostbusters, when I heard the news that Harold had passed away, I really feel like a part of my childhood died today. I remember having all of the Ghostbusters toys and running around the playground playing Ghostbusters with my friends. His movies and comedic style offered something for everyone young and old, and I appreciate them as much now, if not more so than I did when I was a kid. Thank you Harold, rest in peace.

Yeah, that's possibly the worst. As much as it sucks to realize Ramis is gone for good and face a life without his influence, it's also made me contemplate the fact that Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, and every other ridiculously funny, at one time or another-genius comedian that I grew up with will eventually die, and god, does that ever suck to think about.

The only comforting thing is the Judd Apatow's, Stephen Colbert's, etc., who have been influence by Harold Ramis (among others), and will hopefully carry on his legacy of making the world a funnier, better place to live in.
