What could've possibly caused Kelly to develop breast cancer?

I recall immediately after she died, people started to speculate online that like Elizabeth Edwards, Kelly likely took hormones to get pregnant in her late 40s. I don't know for sure if that is true in both cases. I will be the first person to admit that I'm not a expert on breast cancer. I did read that it's very common for estrogen therapy to be given to older pre-menopausal women during pregnancy to help maintain the pregnancy/avoid miscarriage.

Cancer oftne just happens. Giving homones would have encouraged cancer growth of that kind.

Anything could have done it: environment, toxic substances, genetics. A lot of movie sets are loaded with carcinogens.

I wonder if Kelly's initial diagnosis was already in the late stages like stage 3 or 4. Either way, it seemed like she deteriorated rather quickly. I mean, I don't know if this is a good comparison, but Olivia Newton-John first dealt with breast cancer in 1992 and she was said to be in remission for about the next 25 years.

Heredity. It runs in families.
